Find Support

The needs of someone who has experienced sexual assault vary from person to person and may vary over time. The Vermillion Police Department and the University offer a diverse array of services and external resources, many of which may be accessed 24 hours a day, so that a person may choose whatever would be most helpful and healing. Written information regarding these services and resources will be provided to individuals who report being victims of sexual assault.

If the victim is a USD student, the University will provide protective measures and accommodations for academic, living, transportation, and working situations to any victim who asks for them, so long as they are reasonably available and regardless of whether the victim reports the incident to law enforcement. Students may obtain information regarding accommodations and protective measures from the Title IX Coordinator. Any accommodations or protective measures will be confidential so long as confidentiality will not impair the University's ability to provide the accommodations or protective measures.
